The Dating Project

After a night of watching The Bachelorette, we--Cat and Julie--realized that we needed to do something. We certainly don't want to date thirty men at once, but we would like to at least be dating. And instead of obsessing why we aren't dating (well, maybe we obsessed a little), we decided to become proactive in our dating life. Most people think of dating as a chore, a hassle, and something you only do every once in awhile. We want to change that; dating should be about fun and just getting to know someone. In reality, we all should be dating and getting to know the people we go to church/school/work with a little bit better. And that's what we're gonna do.

Deciding to take a cue from Matt and Ben, and getting inspiration from friends and, yes, maybe even one Bachelorette's crazy journey, we've decided to take matters into our own hands and embark on our own crazy journey. The journey will last for three months and will involve Cat and Julie each going on one date a week. Neither can flat out get their own date, so we will be looking to each other to find our dates most of the time and to our friends, readers, and family for others. Really, why aren't more people setting up their friends?

Wish us luck on our project. We're gonna need it.
